So if a player plays 200 games within a month during a flaming crusade, and he gets reported 5 times within that month for the same mistake of flaming people moderately, would you think it's fair to perma ban such player solely cause of his 30 pp obtained within that period of time?
I never understood why people in dota always insisted on keeping bug abuses they find such a big secret until icefrog fixes it, bugs should be public info, as soon as they are discovered, in order to prevent abuse, as it makes people know what to look out for, the more people are informed the better. Afaik hosts in regular games can kick people already, if you suspect abuse by the host, you can report him and if the given host eventually gets more reports than usual, his hosting rights will get removed. Same report procedure can work towards people offering hostbots, only difference is that people gets a better ping, thus getting a better gaming experience, just as the author of this post describes.
Admins should indeed consider the ammount of games played between each pp's, instead of just only looking at pp history and dish out big amount of pp's cause he thinks the user does nothing but flame and harass. Afaik admins don't have the neccesery tools to take the ammount of games into consideration unless they go in and manually scroll through the users games, which I'm sure no admins do, unless they are about to perma ban a player.

I get the reason why you want to penalize people for not showing up, it is indeed disrespectful when wasting other peoples time, especially if your closing third game in a row cause of such people. However I've never understood why DL wants to penalize people with points, as people with high leave rate, will only confuse the match making system into thinking their less skilled, due to low points. Ah, well not everybody should be allowed to host a hostbot, this should be an aproved process, also making sure it's a bot located on a good solid connection.

You could also try something profound and be logged into bnet Before joining an actual game, not only can you now join the game right away, thus staying one step ahead of the spoofer, you also avoid having the rest of us waiting on you. Sadly this is a great concept, which alot of players here on DL have quite a hard time understanding.
